Do the....

Any guesses for where I’ve been today?

Of course you all know – Charleston Farmhouse.
It was actually a Selvedge magazine event so we had access to the house and grounds without the public so with limited numbers it felt very special.

Lunch was included and we even had beautiful little cakes with a Charleston-esque cross hatched decoration on top which was a lovely touch.

It might be my age or my obsession with paint but the exterior paintwork was magnificent……It looked liked it had been recently done and of course it was Farrow and Ball.
There are some great photos on the Charleston website if paint excites you…..

  1. Up hideously late so commenting already before the birds are awake.

Charleston is pure heaven. I miss being within an easy drive and so have to satisfy myself with books. The garden looks fabulous. I bet you had a wonderful time with so few of you.

I hate succumbing to jealousy, but I think I'll have to on this one.

  2. Thank goodness for your obsession with paint! (for, dear Reader, this is how she found me... through searching for Farrow and Ball on Flickr...) We are all sad and old with a paint obsession aren't we...?

This looks an amazing place. I can't wait to go. Love those wallflowers... bet they smelt divine :-)

So pretty. The gate in the wall makes me think of The Secret Garden.
