Hanker

I forgot to mention there was a bit of a to do down the beach a few weeks back….. 3 beach huts burnt down!
I am quite distressed to see that gaudy colours have been creeping in the tasteful section….I should like to think it was a bolt of lightning wiping out the bubblegum pink huts but talk of the beach says vandalism of a pyrotechnic nature….

For some time now I’ve had a hankering for some new crockery as my Cornish Ware has been slowly diminishing due to me being clumsy and so have decided on something new….
I keep going to this website but I can’t decide which I like the most, this, this, or this?
And then should I have blue or red?

  1. What a lovely dilemma. I prefer the bluey designs and think the last one is the nicest. I could very happily have a different crockery set for every day of the year if I had the money/room. My current personal hankering is for some large and beautiful tureens.

  2. Poor beach huts :(

I'm always a fan of red, I think the last red one was my favourite.

Thankyou for the seeds too, they arrived this morning, I'm going to scatter some randomly and save some for next year.

  3. Oooo, I love the Burleighware. I think you should buy something from each design as I've seen a 'mix and match' display in shops before and I think they all look lovely together - that would save you the difficulty of having to choose just one!
And, if it was me, I'd for for the blue.

  4. I'm with Celeste, the red is nice and different but then I do like the idea of it all being mixed and matched. Shame about the beach huts but I do know what you mean about the gaudy colours..someone round here has painted their house orange amoungst the creams and whites...Orange! The words 'sore' and 'thumb' spring to mind.
I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking Desperate Romantics was a bit strange ..the comedy music made me cringe and don't get me started on the Labradors- on-speed over-acting!!
    have a good weekend.

  6. I agree with justine. I have collected blue and white in different designs form all over the place and they all look great together.
But definitely don't get the red.

I think they sell some of the collection here - but the website isn't all that.
