Joy

Yesterday en route to the supermarket we drove past a house with some old terracotta pots outside…. I thought the sign said for sale…..when I finally got my husband to stop and turn around and go back…..which proves I can get my way when it matters the note said free to a good home!!
There are even Long Toms amongst the pile – the perfect foil for my auriculas. I am still on a terracotta high.

Look how happy ‘Joy’ is looking even though she got rained on early this morning…….

  6. Oh my, how simply wonderful and they already have the wonderful patina of age that is missing from the stark new ones.

  9. How lovely!
I once got given a whole greenhouse's hoard of terracotta pots to throw away,(yeh right!) so many people have no use for them anymore and prefer those dreadful plastic ones.
I do love auriculas, they look so beautiful in a simple rustic pots, I'm always in awe of them at the shows, they almost look like they're made of wax. x

  10. I can't get enough of terracotta pots though they really don't like our Scottish winters and every year some of them break up. Great find, well done.
