My very own Kreacher

I don’t know how to break the news to you all, but I have my very own house elf!
My mother who is in her late 70’s says that it makes her very happy if she can help me with the cleaning and doing chores around the house and garden…..I should feel guilty but as Nigel says, if it makes her happy…..

Detail of my dresser - clean and tidy (but not for long)

My kitchen blinds haven't looked this clean since they were new...
After she left I had a play with my camera and took some more photos for Etsy....I am trying to keep them simple, i.e. stop finding props to add into the photos but I can't help myself.

Creative expression,its good for you.

Goodness please can she come to visit me?? I love it when the house is clean and tidy but never seem to have the time/inclination to get it done!

  2. my mum's just like that too...i do find it a bit unsettling though as it makes me feel like i'm not quite up to scratch somehow...still i should never complain. when mum's here we find a very welcome dishwasher-emptier-elf comes too : )

great creative additions by the way...you're on an etsy-roll!

Haha, my Mister's mum is always offering to come over and clean, but I think I'd have to clean up out of shame before she came round!

Thanks for stopping by my blog - as you may have ascertained, I do not get comments - so, yay! I've resisted HP for years, but my resolve is slowly cracking . . . I might even have to crack on with #3 . . .

  4. Oh I wish I had a house elf. The truth is that I'm the house elf in our house!

  5. Yep I have one of those wonderful House Elf/Mum's too, she's also a garden elf, and my Dad is a DIY elf. They're great.

I always try to clean up before they come round, but as hard as I try she still finds something to do. It used to drive my blokey nuts, but he's learnt to ignore the comments, and right now he's thinking it's pretty wonderful too.

  6. I had no idea that there were real house elves, I thought they only existed in HP. I wonder if Dobby would have a couple of hours to spare;)

  7. Does she wear clothes? I find as long as my Mum wears clothes I'm enough of a slob to let her do anything.

  8. I know I should feel guilty about my mother helping me but I don’t…..and you’re all be relieved to hear she does wear clothes when she pops round! She arrives on her bicycle with her slippers in her bag, and usually has a treat for Harry.
