Looking East (and West)

Stella picked me up to take me for my monthly blood test……a week early has it happened.
I must get more organized and work harder with the concept of time….
I must get more organized and work harder with the concept of time…..

So we went for a cappuccino and a chat so the morning wasn’t a complete waste (for me anyway!)

Then back home to pick up my hound and neighbour for the most lovely walk along the beach.

Yesterday we almost got blown away but this morning was the most perfect autumn weather.

Found a beach hut for sale…. I don’t know definitely but I think they go for around £10k in these parts….

Looking East

Looking West

For sale….

The very pale pink one.

  3. I couldn't agree more with the mantra for you;)I think the beach hut is 12k but you need ground rent and insurance to add to the expense and more sunny days than we experience here, in my opinion:)

Beach huts now cost an absolute fortune on the North Norfolk Coast and to think I decided against getting one 20 years ag (when we could actually afford one)as I thought maybe we wouldn't use it as much as we should. Regrets...

  8. Beautiful photos - I'm so jealous that you live near the sea.

Does anyone have timeshare shares in beach huts? Might be an idea?

Beautiful photos, how lovely to see blue skies and empty beaches. I envy you your close proximity to the sea; the murky brown waters of the Severn just aren't the same.

Yes, I'veheard how expensive they are, I was told there was one up for 30k on near where I used to live in Whitstable! Crazy stuff!

I do love them though, so gorgeous in a row with all their different colours!

  12. What a lovely walk you had, the little beach hut would be awfully tempting, you could decorate it in pure "Gigibird" style!

  14. Oh it's delicious. Wouldn't it be lovely to have one. Shame we don't all live nearer to one another then we could club together and have a time share!!

  15. Oh yes...it would be near the top of my luxury list, especially a sweet little pink one like that.

  16. Oh I wish I had a spare 10k...

  17. Alas, I agree about the expense. They're around £100k where I live. What a nonsense it all is. Put on a vest and a pair of big knickers, take a flask and some good friends and sit outside someone else's!
I'm new to your blog today and must say it seems really very good. thankyou gigibird

  18. There are some lovely huts at Eastbourne down the 'Mead's'. They really are absolutely delightful. Lots more than £10 to buy so I think you'd have a bargain where you are.
I have a 'thing' for beach huts but think the lack of toilet would be the reason why I couldn't have one in the end.

  19. Perhaps a group of bloggers should all club together and then the timeshare could begin!! I still rue the day I didn't buy one at Lyme Regis for £8,000!
