Log Love

A neighbour pruned a diseased apple tree and very kindly gave me a pile of logs. Apparently he can smell wood smoke from my burner and even knows what time I light up!
I am very pleased as I have read apple wood gives off a very fragrant aroma.

I know a pile of wood may not excite many but for sad little me it has made my day.

  9. Anyone who relies upon a woodburner will get excited by a pile of kindling, let alone whole logs as beautiful as that! And you're right about the apple wood - it smells magical! You will have to join your neighbour outside to share the benefit of it (once they have seasoned!) t.x

Apple is the best for the smell, apparently ash is best for the heat.
