Hamy Hock

I am boiling a ham hock.
There is apparently an art to boiling bacon.....not too fast a boil or the stock will be greasy and no one wants greasy stock do they??

I have a notion of making pea and ham soup.

  2. I love pea and ham soup.... do you use leek or onions and do you put a potato in to thicken it? Yum. Show us the finished results won't you?
